What we do

Business incorporation and secretarial services
To incorporate a private limited company (“Sdn Bhd”) in Malaysia with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (“CCM” /“SSM”), it is required to be done through a certified company secretary registered with the SSM. We can help you for Malaysia company incorporation and post incorporation company secretarial matters. It is important to engage a trusted team to assist you during this process and we at Credo, our qualified professionals are registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”) and are also registered company secretary with the SSM.
Estimated fee structure will be RM2,850 as one off fee for incorporation. This includes name search, incorporation fee to SSM, documents for incorporation, common seal, minute books, register book, share certificates and unlimited time for consultation with our professional advisor. Our time commitment to you is key in providing valuable service during your company set up process.
Upon successful incorporation of your company, there will be monthly secretarial fee at RM100 onwards per month to continuously act as the registered company secretarial as required by the Companies Act 2016. Any other requests thereafter will be charged separately for example, submission of annual returns, audited financial statements and any other relevant documents to the SSM or preparation of board resolutions and documents for banks and relevant authorities. The requirements to form a company are:
- a minimum paid-up capital of RM1 only
- a minimum of one (1) subscriber to the share(s) of the company
- a minimum of one director who are at least 18 years of age and are residing in Malaysia. He/she is not a bankrupt and has not been convicted and imprisoned for a period of past 5 years.
- a minimum of one Company Secretary registered with the SSM.
- must have a registered office in Malaysia to which all communications and notices may be addressed. It is normal practice in Malaysia to have the secretarial office as the registered office. This is included in our monthly secretarial fee as described above starting from RM100 per month.
Requirements and documents to commence the incorporation process:
- Proposed company names with its meaning. Provide 3 names with top to low priority. These names must be in accordance with the requirements of the practice notes issued by the SSM. Call us for a discussion on these requirements.
- A brief write up on principal business activities of the proposed company with proposed MSIC codes.
- Business contact details, email and address.
- Photocopy of all directors and shareholders NRIC or Passport.
- Contact detail, email, residential address of each directors and shareholders.
- Paid-up capital information with percentage of shareholding of each shareholders.
* It is a statutory requirement to have at least one resident directors for setting-up a private limited company in Malaysia. Other than a local Malaysian who permanently resides in Malaysia, any foreigner with a Resident Talent Pass (RPT) / permanent resident (PR) / MM2H holder also qualified to be considered as Resident Director to register business Malaysia. In the absence of these, you may consider to subscribe to our Nominee Director Services.
Steps to incorporate:
- Call us for a discussion and tell us about your proposed business set up and background. Alternatively, you may fill up our “Business Incorporation Request” at the click of the button below. Then email to us all information and documents required for name search. We will therefore perform a company name search with SSM with a fee at RM100 per name search and wait for their approval. If the SSM rejects or provides any query on the name application, we will contact you for consultation and status update. We will either response to the query or perform a second application for name search. Upon approval of the name (reserved only for 30 days from date of approval), we will then contact you for the next step on preparation of incorporation for your approval and signing.
- We will at this stage request for the incorporation fee of RM2,850 to be made to us prior to submission to SSM.
- Once payments is received and all documents agreed and signed at our office, we will then submit to the SSM for incorporation.
- Upon approval by the SSM, a notice of incorporation will be issued. If a query is raised, we will response to the query and resubmit to the SSM for a second approval.
- Once the company is incorporated, we will be in contact with you for next steps and consultation.
The entire process from name search up to incorporation and notice of incorporation issued by the SSM may take from as quick as 5 to 7 working days or longer depending on the circumstances. Please note that the incorporation timeline is very dependent on the accuracy and completeness of Malaysia company register information and documents and also subject to the availability and stability of SSM MyCoID online system.”
Accounting services
We are also qualified accountants registered with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (“MIA”) whereby we assist our clients to prepare the accounts with continuous discussions to ensure that it is prepared in accordance with relevant accounting requirements. Upon completion, the accounts for a Sdn. Bhd. will be approved by you for audit by your appointed auditor. Once audited financial statements are ready and completed by the auditor, it will then be submitted to the SSM through the company secretary.

The above can be discussed and completed monthly, quarterly, half yearly or once a year according to your needs and volume of transactions.
Preparation of a complete set of accounts require proper data entry procedures and not merely done by unqualified personnel to lower risk of the accounts being rejected, of the accounts being qualified by the auditors or resulting in tax computation by tax agent being inaccurate. This may lead to potential problem with relevant authorities.
Here at Credo, we focus on quality of our data entry process and we strive to work closely with our clients during this process for a fee of minimum RM300 per month onwards which depends on the volume of transaction of your business.
We do not believe in lowering our fee at the expense of quality and reliability of our work.
